Director

William qualified as a Solicitor in Northern Ireland in 2012, joining Thompson Crooks in 2017 and completing his Advanced Advocacy in 2018 prior to becoming a Director in 2022.

As the head of the firm’s Probate Team, William guides clients through. the complexities of Wills, EPA’s, Lifetime Gifting, Trusts, Inheritance Tax Planning, and Office of Care and Protection Administration. William is currently a member of the Society’s Elder Law Group.

William is also a key member of the firm’s Family and Matrimonial Team conducting matrimonial cases relating to non-molestation and occupation orders, divorce, and ancillary relief guiding clients through one of the most difficult times of their life with diligence and practical advice. William has been a member of the Children Order Panel since 2015 conducting cases on behalf of the Guardian Ad Litem, but also representing parents in contact and residence proceedings.

William is also an experienced residential Conveyancer, often acting for clients who avail of the shared ownership scheme with the Northern Ireland Co-Ownership Housing Association. In his spare time, he has presented at the LSNI Annual Conference and is currently the past chair of the Northern Ireland Young Solicitors Association.
