In 1998 Raymond joined the firm when it was then known as Victor Thompson Solicitors, he quickly became a crucial member of the firm becoming a director in 2003 and a founding member of Thompson Crooks Solicitors.

As head of the firm’s Real Estate Team, Raymond advises on a range of property matters including negotiation of leases, property portfolio management, negotiation of rent reviews, and lease renewals. Acting for both private and commercial clients in a variety of transactions including sales, purchases, and options to purchase, boundary disputes, planning law, solar panels, and wind turbines. He also acts for clients in respect of repossession proceedings.

As head of our Licencing Team advising on a range of Liquor and Entertainment Licencing matters including the negotiation of transfers, protection orders, sales, purchases, and lease renewals.

Raymond is also part of our Probate Team, guiding clients through. the complexities of making Wills, EPA’s, Lifetime Gifting, Trusts, Inheritance Tax Planning, and Office of Care and Protection Administration.

His clients range from first-time buyers to commercial giants based from Belfast to Strabane and he was previously the chair of the Northern Ireland Landlords associations. In his spare time often presents at property seminars and events.
